Looking for a board and train program for my pup -- anyone have experience with a local company/trainer?

What breed? Lots of trainers are specific to a few breeds.

Gabe does a great job with any kind of dog you have. From small indoor lapdog to protection dogs.
Ours have been through his 3 week training program. And when we board them there, they get free reinforcement training.

Can you tell me more about what he did for your dog and what the results were? Is the 3 week deal a 3 week boarding deal or a day time deal. He's a ways away from us is part of the reason I'm asking.

We've got a 5 month old somethingdoodle that probably needs some more dedicated/focused training than I can give.

Hendricks Kennels in Katy did great for my dog. 2 month board and train program. You take them home on the weekends for the last month. Its been a few years, and he is still very obedient. We walk leash free, and he responds instantly to commands. Would not hesitate to use them again.

He's a Sgt with HPD K-9 unit and did great work.

I got 2 doodles and both went there. It is a full 3 weeks of them staying there. Gabe has a list of things he wants to accomplish in those 3 weeks. One of ours needed a few extra days to complete the training and it was free of charge. So we paid for the program and not the number of days.
Things covered were typical; sit, down, place, stay, heel (lease walking), come, jumping, socialization.
You can get more advanced or specialized training if you want and you can choose what command words or language you want to use too.
I believe during the training you could go out there on the weekend and get about 1 hr with your dog to go over the progress and how to work with your dog once you get back home.

His place is a drive for us and we just did 3 long weekends in a row of travel and had them boarded there. Probably about 1/2 the cost of Pet Paradise.
