Howdy - I don't live in Houston, but am here until Saturday at 1 or 2pm. I was planning on driving from Memorial City to College Station at 1 or 2pm. Anyone have any tips for best route? I've heard of construction, but I haven't driven this route for many many years.

Just plug in waze. There is no secret route.

290 is the fastest route. No construction (or lane closures at least) in place right now.

Do Waze but you're gonna be fine running the Beltway up to 290 and then head for the sign that tells you to exit for the Motherland. No need to get cute.

You may choke down at the Buc-ee's in Waller and the exit to the Motherland but it won't be bad at that time.

You'll be free to put the hammer down if you're so inclined.

I-10 west to FM 359 to 290 west to Hwy 6 north works good too.

going from Houston to College Station was easy. Very quick drive. Surprised by the packed stadium for an under-achieving team. Aggies support their team!
