One of the finer things in life is a hot cup of coffee with an apple fritter from one of the many hole in the wall donut places around town. They just taste better when you pay for them next to a waving cat statue and pictures of Cambodia hanging on the wall. I usually grab my kiddo donuts every Friday or Saturday and I haven't gotten my fritter fix in the last 4-5 weeks! Here lately it seems like the places that used to be my go-to stops either say they don't have them ready or they are out. Does anybody have a spot that consistently has them available, preferably in west Houston? Not shipley's their fritters are garbage

Couple of places by my house in Tomball have them. Unfortunately they are hit or miss. Sometimes they are delicious and sometimes they are oozing grease and not good at all.

Definitely the best donut shop inside the loop, imo. I love their sausage and cheese croissants.

However, I used to LOVE the blueberry fritter at Hugs and Donuts, but now they're out of business. Anyone know of a good donut shop around the inner loop where I can get a good blueberry fritter?

Buc-ee's beach store at 523 and 332 used to have them.

Grab one before you head into OCD to do some work.

I picked up a bottle of Huy Fong Sriracha at 99 Ranch Market about a month ago. I think they had just gotten a shipment because they had a bunch. Limit 1 bottle per customer. Might be worth checking.

I noticed my nearest Shipley's never has fritters ready if I go early these days. They must have adjusted their production schedule or something, and fritters are not priority items to them. The local Cambodian shop has them ready and opens 30 minutes earlier, so they win out.

I remember getting one every Sunday morning from best donuts on Jones road just south of cypress north Houston for years and years growing up

I just saw that HEB has them in their fall food display as you walk into the store.

Aldi had some apple cider donuts that were decent last year. Haven't seen them this year.

Will be getting the real thing up in New Hampshire in a couple of weeks.

that place may be the least hipster/foodie donut joint on the planet. They serve the usual old-school donut shop fare, diner-style coffee, and basically nothing else. They even still have the 80s era plastic fast food seating where the tables and chairs are attached to one another. Very solid place.

Loved Christy's when I lived in the area… I'm an apple fritter snob and they were great.

I now go to best donuts on s braeswood and hillcroft for a very solid apple fritter.

West x Northwest but S&S at Jones & West, been going since I was like 5 years old. Bonus points for having really great, authentic boudin & jalapeño sausage cheese kolaches.
For not really relevant input I've had really good blueberry fritters at a couple places out of state before.

Those folks are super nice but there were my stop Saturday that prompted the post. I'm usually there at 6ish so I understand that fritters aren't always ready but Mrs donuts didn't have any at 7:30 on Saturday morning.
