I've been struggling hard with allergies the last few days.. is anyone else in the area suffering? Looks like weed pollen is high

Yeah, mine have been killing me too.

On the news this morning, they had two in the HIGH category. My son suffers from allergies so I am always keeping an eye on the morning news for that.

I am not dying per se, but I am definitely feeling it!

Ever since I did a food allergy study and found I was allergic to about 10 foods, and I quit eating those foods, I haven't had a seasonal allergy problem.

Oh and before your "Allergy Doctor" says that is hogwash (like mine and my GP both did), don't worry about approaching them. Their money printing machine is shots, shots, shots, shots and more shots.

For example, my panel said I was allergic to blackberries. So I literally ate a HEB carton of blackberries as an experiment. My allergies went full bloom within an hour. Sneezing, drainage, the full deal.

Yeah, I've heard this is the case for some people. It's not for me unfortunately... at least in this case.

Which food test did you do? I'd be interested in doing one.

Started late last Tuesday. Lasted 4-5 days.

So, doctors say it's hogwash, while prescribing shots to cure something they say is hogwash. And your treatment for allergies is to gorge yourself on the things you're allergic to just shy of causing yourself anaphylactic shock?

Me too. I've read it about 5 times, and I don't understand.

Allergies hit me at age 30. Put up with it for 5 years. Started shots for pollen. Immediate relief. 15 years later, I maybe need one or 2 shots in the spring. Shots are the most natural non-invasive thing you can do. Why eat drugs when you can just do immunotherapy? I know, people are afraid of shots. Whatever.

GP said you can't get a histamine reaction from ingesting food. Said that was hogwash.

Allergy doctor would only p r I c k test for allergens and didn't test for food allergies.

When I went to get blood drawn for the food allergy study and the above wellness center it came back that I was allergic to several foods. Given my GP's attitude toward food allergies I did the experiment by eating blackberries to prove it would cause a histamine reaction. It did.

So your berry experiment led to the conclusion that your GP is incompetent.

If my yard is any indication, fungi are pretty active right now, too.

Back to needing a second Zyrtec in the afternoon, but not exactly dying yet.

Mine have been terrible this week. I blame it on the kiddos staring little league again and being out at the fields all week.
