Teen son has baseball in Missouri City on Saturday. We leave from there and have to be at an event downtown Houston two hours later. He will need a shower and to change clothes.
Where could I take him to shower/change before the event? The baseball field doesn't have showers available. We live in College Station, so driving home isn't an option. Ideas needed to solve this dilemma.

This is tough. Maybe a day pass at a gym like 24 hour fitness or a YMCA would work?

It may be a bit expensive (and an absolute d-bag) place, but Alphaland (a very instagram heavy gym) has day passes and its in Missouri City.

LA Fitness has free week passes and all have showers with curtains.

YMCA has a nice location downtown but I haven't been. The one on 34th is open showers in case that matters.

Find a RV park along the way. They usually have showers you can pay to use.

There are a couple of YMCA's on 59 between Missouri City and downtown, probably your best bet

Friend runs & showers there pretty often and he's got weirdos starin' at him on the reg. He probably likes it.

From Missouri City, I'd be taking 90 all the way to 610 south loop, then East to 288 into Downtown.

Have you thought about calling some of the hotels in Missouri City? Explain the situation and see if they will let you buy a day pass so to speak. I would imagine the hotels in that area on the weekend have plenty of empty rooms.

Honestly- a Love's truck stop. They really aren't bad.

I run at Memorial Park now and then in Houston. Showers at the tennis center, where you can park right in front, are maybe $1 if that - nothing fancy by any means but enough to pop in and out.

This is probably one of the most ethnically diverse clubs of this type that I have ever been to (I'm from Los Angeles). Equal mix of black, white, hispanic, and asian. The age range was mostly 45+, but there was a handful of younger guys there, too. They provide condoms, but you'll need to bring your own lube, or you can buy some at the front desk.
