I know, take it to the Dallas board, but the Dallas board sucks and the tine board has vast knowledge of all things elite and exclusive.

I do my best to avoid going to DFW but I will be there next weekend. Brother and I are going to Metallica Friday and Sunday. I want to take him to a good steak house on Saturday.

Other than your backyard, what are a few of the best steak houses in Dallas?

for your troubles:

Makes sense to ask as Dallas is in Houston's backyard.

All good choices. Bobs (on Lemmon) is no nonsense and low key. Al Biernat's is also old school but a little glitzier. Nick and Sam's is more of a flash your cash scene and louder. Those are listed in my personal order of preference.

Town Hearth is also good, also pretty loud. Monarch is Italian but has a lot of steak on the menu and a fantastic view 40 stories up downtown. Also a bit of a scene.

I believe that Cash McMogulson always recommended Bob's.

Don't eat the carrot though

The wife & I had a great meal at the Silver Fox in Ft. Worth a few years ago. Looks like there's also one in Richardson.

Pappas Steakhouse is the best steakhouse in the country.

This is a no brainer.

Neighborhood Services, it on lovers lane. You'll need a reservation.

You will not be disappointed. It is awesome. But the rest of Dallas sucks. The Cowboys are satan and the Rangers suck big green donkey dicks.

Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse on Ross Ave is a great place in Dallas for a steak.

That's a strong stance to take. It's certainly great, but best in the country? Ooooffff... IDK If I can go with that.

For the OP, Strong rec here, but don't consider it best in the country...

Made a reservation at Al's. I'm sure it will fit the bill.

This is a place that rarely gets mentioned among great steak places in Dallas.....but I had a meal there about 3 years ago that was fantastic.

The ribeye was ridiculously good....and I felt embarrassed because I had honestly never heard of the place.

Best kept secret in Dallas. Everyone jumps on the Pappas Steakhouse bandwagon. Honestly though, Y.O. Ranch is 10x's better.

If you ever go back, the Hunters Plate is a must try.

It is. Research the cow herd where they exclusively source their beef.

There is simply not a comparable competitor and only HEB has similar quality beef.
