We are in College Station and cannot find anyone locally who will restring/repair my daughter's sitar. Can someone give us the name of someone in the NW (Katy, Woodlands, Cypress) area who could take care of this for us?

I know nothing about them, but there are two violin shops in cypress a couple miles away from each other.

Was Fullers not able to help? That would be my first stop/phone call.
Great Southern Music may also be able to help, they are at 290 and Barker Cypress
Didn't expect this many sitar enthusiasts.
Maybe try Sitars-R-Us. If they're booked up, I'd try Sitarland or The Sitar Yard. But I'd stay away from Half Price Sitars - they're probably the worst ones in the Sitars District of NW Houston.
In all seriousness, ask the entertainment board. They have huge number of guitar enthusiasts that can probably point you in the right direction.
If you don't have any luck finding a place, you might call Fleming Instrument Repair to see if they have any recommendations. Those folks are very knowledgeable.

I've seen that district.
It's next to the harp district. My friend that is a harpist took me by there on our way to pick up some new strings at her favorite store, Harp On It
I feel like Sugarland would be the place to find a sitar repair shop.

I took a special mandolin that I had for a serious repair to Pace Guitar over in Briargrove Park in Houston. It was a long time ago but they did very good work.
