I'm retired and thought ear infections were a kid's thing but I got one that appears to be problematic. I have been really dizzy for almost 3 weeks. I saw my regular doc on Friday and got prescription ear drops and an oral antibiotic but I haven't seen improvement.

I swim a lot and maybe I had an infection that somehow involved the inner ear, or maybe it's something else.

Dr Chang in the medical center. I fight the same thing and ended up switching to drops that treat fungus. This is following sinus and ear surgery.

healthcare is beyond ****ed. can't get our daughter into an ENT for 4 months. can't get her into an allergist before 2024.

Yep, sounds like an ear infection and you have vertigo from the imbalance of fluid in your ear. Have your primary dr prescribe something for your dizziness until you see an ENT.

We've had excellent experiences with both Dr. Brauchle and Dr. Moore at Texas ENT for infants, kids, and adults.

Thanks to all who responded.
I was able to get an appt. With Dr. brauchle on 7/31. Dr. Anthis didn't have an opening until sometime in August.

It ends up that our family saw both doctors 15+ years
ago (kids).

Most OTC motion sickness meds contain meclizine, which is what you need.
