What was Sly before he was elected (twice)? The dude had multiple scandals, including massive missing money and hiring a boy toy intern he lied about and got caught.

Dora has been an abject failure in every aspect as a county judge. Her top 3 aides are all under indictment for fraud and theft, she got caught rigging a contract to give to her friend and spent the end days of the election hiding in Venezuela. And she was still re-elected.

Shejack doesnt even have to campaign in her district to win by huge margins. It doesnt matter how much bad press is out there on her, time and time again the voters have shown they care not.

Black Magic judges, Rodney Ellis and pretty much every other elected position in the area are all the same story.

Until Houston and Harris County voters show they can be anything other than lemming idiots and actually elect the not most ueseless candidate in the race, they dont get any benefit of the doubt.

Shejack wins because voters are stupid and dont vote the best person in most of the time. Might as well chalk Houaton up as a lost cause. Harris county too.

You can thank Texas Republicans to a certain extent for her being re-elected. They keep drawing TX-18 as a D+25 district. The other piece is she has never faced a serious, well-funded challenger in a primary.

I've been calling the offices of senators and reps on a particular committee today. A few staffers I've talked to suggested I also reach out to my representative for good measure. When I responded my rep is SJL, a couple people chuckled and one even said, "yikes."
