They're starting to shake down decent citizens again for $$$. Covid almost put a complete stop on this for a while. And I also had a traffic attorney tell me that another contributor was the death of the pregnant woman robbing thug who overdosed on enough fentanyl to wipe out a small village...apparently cops have been more hesitant to pull people over for petty infractions ever since the 2020 "summer of love". Who knows...but for a few years it was kind of crazy to hardly ever see anyone being pulled over.

While not in houston anymore, we have been pulled over twice in the last month for license ate things. We didn't have a front plate on my wife's expedition so we got popped for that. Warning. I get being pulled over for that. 2 weeks later wife got pulled over for her license plate cover being too dark. No ticket or warning. First time we were pulled over by a state trooper. Second time by local cop. Local cop said state trooper will pull is over for the license plate cover. Well when we got pulled over by the state trooper he didn't say anything about the license plate cover.

Just weird to me because they pulled us over for petty stuff but didn't use it to generate any revenue, like they were looking for someone in a red expedition.

If only they were interested in pulling over beaters or Nissans with paper tags…. Yesterday going down Shepherd a beat up old Honda accord had a paper tag flapping in the wind as his trunk was also flapping up and down totally broken…. Bet he didnt get pulled over.

I was running late but took advantage big time of the COVID amnesty, then the inability to get a tag in person, then continued on a personal protest based on failure to enforce stickers on the eleventy billion paper tag scofflaws.

I had a 9/19 sticker until June of this year. Zero tickets. Looks like they are making up for lost time and it was good timing to finally give in.

Yea I think my truck is 2021 but I feel like I am playing with fire now. Need to get it taken care of since the police in my area seem to be in to pulling people over.

They were at both TCJ and Shep/Durham this morning. That cold front coming thru made it tolerable for them to post up. Haha

I'm glad that someone took care of the bushy tree that used to block sight of them at the bottom of TCJ.

Also, continuously driving their cars up onto the median as damaged the curb, as you can slightly see on the right. Not a big deal, just sucks that we pay for infrastructure that they damage.
