Howdy!

I'm starting a new job in West Houston (energy corridor) at the end of July, and my wife and I are looking for a new church to call home. We're non-denominational, and would like to find a mid-sized church that's well established, but not so large that it's lost the sense of community. We're especially going to miss our pastor in Aggieland and his combination of insight, oratory skill, and sense of humor, so a great pastor is a must for us!

Bridgepoint Bible Church is one to check out. We go to First Baptist but all of our kids have gone through Pre-K at Bridgepoint & it's a great community.

You should check out Bethel Church of Houston. We fit the description of what you are looking for. We are located in the Galleria area, but a lot of our families live in the West Houston area. We just got a new pastor, and are growing.

Depends on how far West you are but plenty of people drive in to Grace Bible, just inside the loop. Not related to GBC in CS, not not much creativity in naming churches.

There are a lot of good options and most have been mentioned. I've also heard good things about Christ Community Church and Hope City.

Yep solid established places of worship that people will flock to from the 079 to the outer west burbs. But the 024 is noticeably under represented at all of these places. Memorial peeps generally hit up either St Martins or synagogue for religious holidays only. Don't get me wrong, there are SOME good Christians and Jews and other in the 024 but most are fakin the funk.
