Just saw RR is playing White Oak tomorrow. Doors open at 6:00 but there's no info on an opening act.

Haven't been to White Oak and need info on actual concert start time and what one can or should bring. Are balcony tickets worth the cost being what looks to be in the back of the venue away from the stage.

Balcony is pretty far back. I would just do GA as long as you don't have any issues with standing (or sitting on the little hill).

They're pretty punctual about time there, as far as I know.

Doesn't look like there is an opener.

I'm planning on getting there around 7 unless they announce otherwise because like said above, they are usually pretty prompt.

As far as what to bring, not sure what you mean, but bring yourself, a koozie, and a credit card because they don't take cash.

You can't bring any of that stuff. The lawn isn't anywhere near as big as in the woodlands. At the shows I've been to, it's standing room only.

The venue is. You'll probably smell a little pot. Randy has a propencity to cuss here and there on occasion too.

It's a great venue and is relatively kid friendly as far as music venues good. As said above, it's small...and thus the balcony isn't that far from stage relatively speaking.

Thanks for the info. Sadly, I've never seen RR live, so was not aware of his language usage. If we took the kiddo, I'd get the stink eye all night from the wife and maybe have to leave early and waste the money.

It's not heavy cussing by any means. Just a sh*t, damn, b*stard, here or there. I've only heard him drop the f-bomb once and that was 15yrs ago in CS

I know. Just being cheap and trying to avoid the fees. I hate that White Oak is ticketmaster now. Just trying to help someone if they can't go anymore.

FYI, Randy is doing a meet and greet at Little Woodrows in EaDo at 2pm and maybe at 5pm at Raven Tower.

I've seen RR dozens of times. He may say an occasional "sheet" but he doesn't blatantly curse

Man if this guy thinks Minute Maid is bad I can't wait till he experiences the CF that is White Oak at a large outdoor show lol. Will be looking forward to the next rant

The venue is...there is a perfect area off to the left of the stage if you are facing the stage that is usually pretty open and you see kids and their parents sometimes dancing...and you still have a pretty solid view of the band. The other side and middle tends to be much more packed from my experience. We were hoping to take our toddler to Slightly Stoopid this year bc she loves some of their songs, but this is the first year in a while that they are not playing White Oak. My only concern was direct pot smoke, but i figured she's pretty safe being low to the ground . Last year some guy or girl was blazing heavy near me and the wife and their burnoff was going right into my face for a solid minute or so. I had already taken an edible, but pretty sure that is what took me to the spirit realm.

It doesn't get a lot of love, but I love the venue.

Going to Slightly Stoopid and Sublime at the Woodlands in July. I'll be sure to keep my head on a swivel in the bathroom though.

Will be there on the 21st as well. That is the only thing I am nervous about. Park as close as you can to the venue, keep your head down and avoid eye contact with the general public, go straight to the show, then go back to your car and get the hell home is my only advice.

To each their own but a toddler at Slightly Stoopid sounds like a shlt show of epic proportions.

I would agree 100% in general, but on the outskirts of the crowd at White Oak I was surprised by how open it was and also by how many people brought small children to their last show. She likes that type of music as I play it all the time for her to dance to and her fav song in the world is Bandelero. All that said, we'd probably be good for a solid hour max before potential SHTF evacuation situation.

One thing I can say for certain is that a country concert would be more of a sh** show for this particular girl. And she'd probably handle something like Slightly Stoopid much better than an Astros or Rockets game, which people take toddlers to all the time.

Saw Ween there and the smoke down front was strong enough for me to go wash my face in the Mens room. Took a break to go hang back in that area on the left back by the merch tables, and it wasn't too bad.

I've never seen him or thought about going to see him.
