I am 45 years old and have lived here my entire life, except college. I have never seen a fight on the street driving around. I am not an oblivious person, I am pretty aware. I also drive quite a bit. I don't venture into the hood a bunch, especially now that I am in the burbs, but I used to drive all over. I have only seen like 4-5 fights in bars and I spent a lot of time and money closing them down. Am I the anomaly here?

I was thinking the exact same thing. Besides the barfights I was in as a young punk, I dont think I've ever just happened upon one in the wild, or a random street brawl. Certainly this lady has a network of hoodrats that send them to her.

Man one fight at big star bar was the funniest thing ever. Someone threw a hipster dudes hat on the roof and he snuck off and climbed up there got it and then jumped off the roof in a falcon punch maneuver to hit someone and all hell broke loose. I wish someone had THAT on camera.

I love Grizzy's videos but I can't stand hearing her talk. I also wish her videos wouldn't encourage people to take videos while driving.

As a white man, I'm not sure there is any way I would teach or coach at a school dominated by a certain demographic. I can do the barrio...at least there are enough fathers present in those communities and enough traditional Catholic mothers to teach kids that there are certain lines you just don't cross. But there is video after video evidencing that certain behavioral codes are not being taught in one certain community...and the stats back this up. That recent video of the white lady being dragged down and curb stomped for no reason by 30-40 wild youths in Chicago come to mind. And there are almost daily videos of these kids whooping their teachers asses, while the rest of the class just stands around and laughs and films it.

Combine that with the recent trends of society teaching these kids that white folks are to blame for all or most of their problems, and hell to the nah.

My daughter goes to Oak now. Overall, it's still a pretty good school, but you can definitely see the tide turning. I go to plenty of sporting events (football and baseball, namely), and the majority of the families/players are good kids. Like I said, the tide is definitely turning, however.

This person who assaulted the teacher has been expelled and is facing a felony charge.

My daughter told me that all of the APs are monitoring at all times, there have been more cops on campus today, and there is someone monitoring all bathrooms.

I remember when I was in school, if a fight broke out and we stopped to watch we got in BIG trouble. If they caught you watching....straight to suspension. Didn't matter if you were cheering it on or just standing back and watching....big no-no. And I went to a ghetto highschool as well. They didn't eff around.

I've told my wife that if a fight ever breaks out, stay the hell away from it unless it is a situation where one of our kids may get hurt or somebody we know and are friends with kids may get hurt.

Outside of that, get the hell away and make sure she has an escape route. Let the coaches and school PD handle it.

And everybody involved and everybody that pulled their phones out to video should spend the next month digging holes just to fill them back in for 8 hours every day, rain, heat, cold, whatever. F them, they need to learn consequences.
