Upon graduation, I served as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal officer (Army bomb squad). Through my experience leading soldiers in combat, I demonstrated the skills necessary to lead during times of crisis.
After my time in service, I graduated from Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School before moving to Houston to pursue a career in energy finance, where I worked on the execution of billion-dollar transactions as a strategic advisor on mergers & acquisitions and capital markets financing for public and private companies.

Before becoming Harris County Judge, Judge Hidalgo worked throughout Southeast Asia promoting government transparency and freedom of the press, and worked in Harris County as a medical interpreter while volunteering at the Texas Civil Rights Project. She was pursuing a joint MPP/JD at Harvard and NYU before leaving to run for office.
look i don't mind inexperience, but one of those work experiences is not like the other. vote for who you will, but those are wildly different qualifications and not in Hidalgo's favor.
