How much travel time would you recommend adding these days for a flight out of IAH terminal E? I plan to Uber there. Is it still advised to go to Terminal A or B and take the train to E?

I am flying out Saturday ~8pm, so normally would get there ~5pm per standard international flight guidance.

It's not a big deal. I got dropped off at E a few weeks ago on a Friday afternoon and it was nothing. Saturday at 8 pm shouldn't be bad.

Heads up if you are checking bags, as of last week the underground train is shut down. Meaning terminal transfers are now by shuttle, adding to the ever growing list of inconveniences iah now has to offer.

Security at E was not open as of 3 weeks ago. How did you get to your gate?

This was the message that accompanied my checkin text from United yesterday, so I guess my initial target destination is Terminal C.

"There's quite a bit of airport construction, and Terminal E check-in and parking garage is closed, so please add extra time. Traffic peaks occur from 5-8pm.

Your departing gate determines what terminal to use to check in and access the gate.

Flights departing Terminal A or B, use Terminal B

Flights departing Terminal C or E, use Terminal C

Flights departing Terminal D, use Terminal D"

This is the way. Security is usually faster and the monorail is pretty close by. Also, that's where the Chik-Fil-A and the Whataburger are.

If parking I use B. Don't know how traffic will be when I land.

If I'm doing an Uber I just check traffic on the way. The traffic can be a *****, but often isn't and its still just easier to be dropped off at C. Same for when I land. Check traffic then determine if I want to be picked up at C or B.

I had a Global Entry appt a few months back and realized I'd left something in the car. I was able to run/speed walk faster than that stupid train. And I am admittedly a terrible runner.

Well the original United flight to Denver was from terminal C. But due to a " maintenance issue " the flight was cancelled and rescheduled 4 1/2 hours later. Missed the connection and had to spend the night in Denver.

Compared to the Denver airport, terminal C is a dump. 13 hours late getting to our destination.
Direct flight or drive next time…

Except security line. TSA is crap overall, if you wanted a poster child for government inefficiency and waste, DEN security line is it. All airport passengers herded into what resembles a Lubbock feed lot while you watch 2/3rds of the agents enjoy an extended union break.

Had to commute weekly to Denver for 2 years. It actually made me appreciate IAH. I hate that airport in the middle of nowhere..

That whole Denver airport deal was a boondoggle orchestrated by one of Clinton's buddies and made a lot of people rich lol

Denver was awesome last week. Got there at 6;30 am and went thru the line in less than 5 minutes. Love the moving sidewalks and the width of the place. And even though we missed the connection the night before, our bags were in Reno with my flight the next morning!!

IAH going from the Tsa line to the end of terminal C is a cluster walk. Hallways are too narrow for all the people combined with Queen Latiffas driving and riding the fat girl electric wagons. Terminal D looks like Mogadishu.

Any updates from you travelers?

My daughter is flying in to Terminal C tonight at 10:49 pm. Is picking her up at C the best bet?

How'd it go Friday? I landed about an hour before your daughter and my driver said to go to B because C was a mess.

Flew in to terminal C Wednesday night around 7:00. Took me 45 minutes to move about 250 feet out of the parking garage. Complete and total gridlock, absolute disaster.

New 3rd world development is trying to leave the airport.

I parked in C garage. Traffic was so backed up that after you paid your parking ticket, you had no room to leave, this backing up the process up the ramps.

Took me 45 mins to go the half mile to see sign for 45 and 59 exits.

Pro tip: stick to the furthest to the right lane where you can, unless it's the part where you only have one lane.

No cops, it's a mad house.

Terminal B is still the way to go.

I flew 2 weeks ago and found a spot next to the elevator on level 3. No wait at TSA and was to my terminal Al in C in minutes.

Flew Wednesday this week and experienced the same. Took sky train to E.

Flying out for spring break on sat, will do the same again

Denver airport is much better than either of Houston airports.

Absolutely. Love the big wide walkways with moving sidewalks and all the extra space. IAH with all the fatties on the fast moving carts is too narrow and crowded. Need to do away with those damn carts and use wheelchairs for the fatties.

Came through B drop off and security this morning in less than 5 minutes. I have travel during spring break for work which is usually a cluster. I'm not straying from B regardless of my gate.

She ended up coming out of B. Problem was that I didn't know that AA and Spirit exited from the other side of the terminal.

Took several minutes and lots of curse words before finding her.
