We want to feed our clan great tamales for Christmas Eve but are hoping to avoid getting store bought / factory tamales. Any recommendations on excellent tamales we can buy by the dozen? We are in Katy. Willing to buy from a van down by the river if they are good.

Referred by an 89 year old Mexican lady that cooks us homemade Mexican food on occasion that is absolutely delicious.

Her and her husband said they don't bother making them anymore because Alamo is the best around.

They brought me some... confirmed very good.

If you decide to take my advice, please pick me up 4 dozen and I'll meet you around Barker Cypress and I10 to get them.

This .....it's worth the drive. Call in and order and you will thank me. Waiting in line can take some time. I grabbed 6 dozen yesterday.

This place is amazing.

Cousin brought some up from the valley and I gotta say they're incredible. I'd eat them over the homemade tamales we get from the housekeeper.

Find a yard guy who's wife makes amazing spicy pork tamales and sells them for $10/doz.

Good luck finding tamales for $10/doz. Covid pushed them to $12 and now I can't find any for less than $15.

Bought two dozen for $20 from my yard guy last week.
