Anyone been? Interested in booking for a group of 6 and want to make sure it's worth it to do this instead of ponying up for Astros tickets. The 'Stros are out of town the day we're targeting but if necessary, we could shift and go to an Astros game. Thoughts?

This would be for 5 people who are largely not sports people and would be catching up and enjoying each others company but who also enjoy going to a game. So minor vs major league game isn't some kind of "upgrade" for the majority of folks.

I know pricing and reviewed stadium maps etc etc... Looking for some personal feedback on the park and game experience as compared to MMP.

I went for the first time last month and I enjoyed it. Its great to be able to sit close to the field without breaking the bank. I went with small kids so my experience centered around the splash pad and playground for half the game. The biggest difference is the fact that its all outdoors. There are big fans in the concourse to help keep air moving but if you are going with people who arent used to Houston humidity they may be cranky. Being a local, I had no issue with sitting in the elements and my kids who usually complain about the heat (they got that from their mother) didnt complain once.

It's awesome, and perfect for what you are describing.

Went last summer with my three boys. The coolest thing for them was the players are so much more interactive (on purpose). They went and hung around the bullpen before the game and all three got tossed baseballs at some point. As stated above it was hot as sh-t because it is all outdoors, but if you are used to it, it isn't a big deal. But it was a cool experience.

If you sit closer towards the back of the first level, you can get seats under shade. If you sit in the last row or two, you may even get the breeze from the giant fans.

As others have said, it's perfect for what you want.

The last three rows or so will get you under cover and near the concourse.

There are also 2 "Bar" options if that suits y'all. Bud Light and Karbach both have pavilions in the outfield with open seating. If that is your plan, you can buy grass area passes and get in for $9 or so a piece.

Be sure to bring $10 cash for parking.

Good info. I was actually looking at maybe doing the Regions Bank Club... $60/ea and it includes dinner buffet? Figured by the time you pay $25/ea for tickets, then eat and have a drink you're spending that much anyway. Might be worth it, and 3/6 are eaters... Might make money... :-)

If I am paying to see a minor league team it's gonna be the Dynamo.

I've been many times over the years, and it's always been a great time. Constellation Field is really a good place for baseball. I've been to the Club when it was for the Sugar Land Skeeters, but not since the Astro's took it over. It was worth it back then.

Parking is $5 if you buy it ahead of time.

We love SL games. We have been probably seven or eight times this season. Best value in the area if you plan ahead and eat before you go.

Also, first base side gets the shade first in the evenings.

Man I'd love to hit some bp before one of the games, who's got a good contact that can hook me up?

Definitely go check it out. Concessions are really slow compared to a major stadium, but other than that, you get great seats for professional baseball for very reasonable prices with easy ingress and egress.
