Any rooftop restaurants or restaurants with a city view that anyone here would recommend?

I have friends coming in and they made the request. Spindletop at the Hyatt is no more, so I'm out of options.

Not really a restaurant but Buffalo Bayou Brewery has a great rooftop bar patio that serves food.

B&B Butchers might work. They have a rooftop patio. View of downtown dependent on where you're seated. Z on 23 is a rooftop bar with great view downtown, but has poor drink selection and even worse service

Post is kind of an option. First floor is a food hall with various options then you can take the food to the roof. Roof has a good view of downtown, though.

In the same token as Buffalo Bayou Brewery, the patio at St. Arnolds has a pretty good overview of downtown.

If you want to do a restaurant then go to a rooftop bar, I think the Marquis has one (have to buy a day pass) or la meridien. Never been to either, though.

Harold's in the Heights has a rooftop dining area but it doesn't face downtown. Good food though.

What a weird request. I'd dump them.

B&B is probably the best bet. Harold's has a great rooftop but we didn't like the food at all. Night Shift on the east side of town is a great bar with late kitchen service.

If they are paying, definitely go to B&B.

Your friends must be northerners and not completely understand how unpleasant it is sitting outdoors in 90 degree heat and 100% humidity all the way up until October. I would probably educate them before telling them their request is quite silly

Ours is The Corner, with a partial view of the airport
Inside/outside views right at the airport = Gate 12 upper class dining

Yeah, this is probably the most legitimate "my backyard" topic on here.
