Since Ready Refresh went to crap and stopped meeting orders, I haven't found a replacement to deliver/pick up 5 gallon water jugs. Own a nice fairly new dispenser, which is now just sitting here unused.

Filling the bottles up at the grocery store is about the only option I can think of now. Any of yall have a reliable service in town?

When did it start? I use RR, and they are still filling my 5, 5g plus case orders. Occasionally they bump a day back, but no issues.

I don't remember the exact date - loos like I may have deleted the emails, but it went on for months. Also saw facebook posts and twitter complaints from other people having problems and wondering if the company was going bankrupt. Eventually just cancelled. They said to put the remaining empties out on the porch for pickup, which I did, and they never got picked up.

Get a reverse osmosis filter system put in.

We used to do Ready Refresh but got one installed and it's so much better.

This. Get an RO system and connect it to your refrigerator dispenser (if you have one) or get a standalone dispenser.

Sparklettes/Primo/whatever other name they use to market delivers in Houston. You even get a small discount if you are a Costco member.

I also recommend an under the counter RO filter.

Super easy DIY install. If you have a cabinet near your fridge, you can just put the filter upstream of the refrigerator water line so you get nice ice and water from the fridge.

I also added a tee to the line with a whip line on a separate valve so I can fill jugs / large vessels (primarily for homebrewing)

Primary filters will probably need to be replaced about every year (more or less depending on your use). The RO membrane lasts just about the life of the unit. My last pressure tank lasted about 8 years before it needed to be replaced, at which point I just bought a new unit.

APEC has a good system, but I'm sure there are other comparable ones out there too.

Thanks for the suggestions. Reverse osmosis systems looks pretty doable, I just still have this water dispenser sitting here. I'll see if Sparklets has a delivery option here that doesn't involve ReadyRefresh.
