For anyone headed south on 45 to Galveston this weekend be aware that ALL southbound lanes of 45 from Dickinson to just south of La Marque will be closed from 9 tonight until 5 Monday morning. All traffic will be diverted to the frontage road. In parts of that stretch the frontage road is only 1 lane.

Plan accordingly because traffic is going to be an epic cluster****.

When I worked for a mud company on the docks down there we would "lock down" and not allow people to go into towm that weekend.
