We recently moved into a new home in NW Houston (Tomball/Cypress area) and are looking to extend the patio and add a kitchen/grill area. Any Aggie owned or other companies you have used and would recommend? Is now the time or are construction prices still outrageous?

Based on the other thread on cost to build a pool, sounds like you can expect home patio construction prices to be absurd right now.

We used Matt's Custom Decks to build our covered patio/entertainment area back in 2008. He has done probably 70% of the patio covers in my subdivision.

Our patio cover is around 20 X 24 - tied to the house by the pool.
Includes gas, electric, cable, ethernet
Counters/cabinets built in cooktop, fans, lighting, etc

He wasn't the cheapest when we priced him out - but based on the work I saw him do around the hood I knew there wouldn't be any issues. Other than replacing the fans after 12 years it has been trouble free.

He did my neighbors cover about a year and a half ago. I would have him quote my next project.

I'm in the same area as you. I used Chris with Texas Patio Pros a couple of years back. Very good experience.

He did our pool, patio, roof extension, and landscape

He used to build custom homes so he has lots of experience and helps with design. I'm in cypress as well if you want to come look at anything

We used Matt's at our old house in Longwood probably 15 years ago, he did a good job. We know others who have him also and we're happy with their work.
