This is what we usually do. Depending when you get there, the tram in won't have much of a line. For the tram back after the concert you will be better off just walking instead.

What time doe we need to be at the astroworld parking lot so we can get a spot?

I do have a pretty good idea of the shape of the dome.

And pretty sure a nice sized multi lane roadway could be built to my new parking place.

Personally, I like the idea of a large underground tunnel where cars enter on Fannin and then they come back up once inside the dome parking garage.

Sure. No one likes the cost. There's park and rides, light rail, Uber, and the same amount of parking as Texans games.

I just got here and traffic is already getting stupid. Just thought I'd give everyone a heads up.

What kind of food is there inside NRG?

Standard stadium fair. There is a Killen'a bbq booth if you want to go fancy.

Traffic was a nightmare on Sunday.
I had a parking pass for the blue lot but had to end up paying to park in a side lot off Naomi.
All the exits off 610 were jammed so bad , some vehicles were 2 lanes over trying to merge. It was a mess
Went past Kirby and same thing coming from the East.
I didn't want to deal with sitting in traffic for that long and waste that much time …so it was worth it and easier to pay additional $25 and park and walk.

We hit the traffic trying to exit (eastbound) onto Kirby. Moved less than 1/2 a mile in ~30 minutes.

Said screw this, jumped out of line and went to the Med center and grabbed a ride on Brown's choo-choo. Got in our seats (7th row floor, little bragging ) as the opening act was finishing up

Gave 4 tickets to our daughters and their friends, they left 1/2 hour ahead of us, didn't even make the show. Got stuck in traffic trying to make into the Astroworld lot, and finally said "ef it"

It was a cluster.

Been going to events in or near the dome since the 70's )yea I'm an old) and I've never seen traffic on the loop, 288, side streets, as bad as it was Sunday.

A goat roping of biblical proportions.

We rolled in about 3:30, and traffic was bad, but not that bad. Lots of empty spots in blue lot at the time.

We got to one of the yellow lot gates right when they closed it, around 6:30. Ended up parking behind an Exxon station for $25 and paid the little bicycle cart guy for a ride.

Only a difference of 6k between George Straight and Marshmello. Traffic made it seem like 60k difference.

Probably a lot more staying after Marshmello also. We stayed out late that night to finish off our carnival packs since we new we weren't coming back. Was there a concert in the Hideout after George?
