Looking for a month to month rental in Houston available immediately!!!

An acquaintance is in the hospital in Houston with terminal brain cancer and they are looking for a place for her to live and have home care when she leaves the hospital. They don't know how much time she has so please pray for Therese and the whole family. It's all happened in less than a month.

Any leads on Airbnb's, rental properties, family guest houses, second homes etc. in the Houston area not far from the MD Anderson Cancer Center are appreciated. They are planning to pay rent and looking for a month to month rental.

The place needs a ground floor bedroom and full bathroom without steps.

Thank you. MD Anderson said this it the most aggressive brain tumor they have ever seen. Therese is the oldest of 119 grandchildren, concert pianist, artist, author, and Harvard grad.

There was a poster here with a garage apartment that has offered it up like this before. Wish I could remember the name.

When I went to MDA, they asked if I needed this type of assistance. We didn't but it might be worthwhile asking them?

When my mom was at her worst and needed to be at md Anderson regularly her and my dad got an apartment in the latitude complex. It was through Airbnb, check there and the other condos and message the hosts.

The latitude was great, fwiw. Good location to md, safe, all the employees were nice. The situation sucks but having my mom close for the family to all get together and hang out helped. We'd "watch" the rice baseball games from the balcony.

Beyond the things already recommended, MD Anderson has a large staff of social workers and patient advocates on staff. Beyond asking the doctor, asking for assistance from one of those may help. I am positive this is a common need.

Try The Ballard House. My niece stayed there awaiting a kind transplant. We just served dinner there tonight and I think they have open rooms. A little far out but a full charitable resource worth checking out
