I almost never go inside a mall anymore, so this is an earnest question. Is every mall in the metro area ghetto now? I don't even like Katy Mills - now its just straight in and out of the Bass Pro without going into the rest of the mall. A year ago I took my daughter to the Galleria and it was totally dead, the few people who were there were kinda ghetto and the mix of stores was starting to slide in the wrong direction. Is the Woodlands mall still decent?
Is there a non-ghetto mall left in the Houston metro area?

Galleria has been ghetto for quite a while. That's why River Oaks Shopping Center was developed and nicer stores are there or down Post Oak. Easier to keep the "urban" contingent out or keep an eye on them.

Baybrook and Memorial City aren't ghetto indoor malls. CityCenter & LaCenterra are nice outdoor malls.

The malls just need smaller entrances so cars with rims that stick out 1-ft can't fit. Or just sell books.

Went to the galleria the other day to pick something up from the Apple store there. Strangest thing was that the upmarket/designer stores had roped off areas with lines to get inside the store. 90% of the people in line looked like they had absolutely no reason to be at the Gucci or Louis Vuitton store (and certainly not the money). The other 10% were rich cartel/Mexican/South American/chinamen here to buy "cheap" luxury goods.

I went with my daughter within the last year. I saw a woman in a completely sheer top without a bra underneath. She may as well have been topless. Full tits and areolas on display for my 10 year old to see. I'm just glad my 12 year old twin boys were with dad at that moment.
The Woodlands is as close as you'll get to non ghetto. Probably not a good selection for metro skinny pants though.
There is not a single place in Houston (private clubs excluded) that is not full ghetto or half ghetto.

In the last 15 or 20 years, I've probably been into the Galleria Nordstrom twice without going inside the rest of the mall, and had to attend some work-related events at the Westin.
Did duck into the Northwest Mall out of curiosity a couple years ago, while getting something at Thompson's antiques center. It was a spooky ghost town.

Indoor shopping malls aren't being built anymore are they? They are such miserable places and always have been.
I recently had to brave Memorial City to visit the Apple store. There's one place I will choose to wear a mask once the mask non-sense blows over.
Memorial City ain't bad. That's our choice if we have to go to a mall in the area.
Other than possibly getting caught in the middle of a shootout, Willowbrook Mall isn't bad.
Some people seem to think that a large percentage of non-white shoppers is the same thing as "ghetto".
