I think she's really intelligent, but obviously inexperienced and originally unqualified. She's not a great public speaker at least when going off script. She answers questions fairly well though. Probably the best first year she could have hoped for in terms of building experience though since 2020 has been a complete **** show.

I'm sure if I was forced to give a speech in spanish i'd sound like a insecure fool as id be translating in my head the whole time. Its clear english is her second language. The audio sure doesnt sound like its coming from someone who is in charge of the situation, but then again i dont think ANYONE has a handle on this outbreak. I've mentored minority kids that are currently at Ivy League schools on full scholarships that barely got into A&M or t.u. and didn't get any scholarship money. If you're a minority with a good sob story, upper 1200s SAT scores can get you in and often a free ride too if you're poor enough.
She went to Harvard for law, so I dont know where the SATs come into play. Went to Stanford for undergrad. As much as some people may not like her, or have some under the breath opinions of the two schools, she's not a complete idiot. I do think she's an over the top bleeding heart SJW.
Do you speak Spanish? I dont agree that she sounds way more confident. she looked much more reliant on the teleprompter, like she was definitely just reading. it sounded much more rehearsed to me.
No hablo espanol. I know enough to get me food and drinks locally. I was able to have better conversations in Spain than with anyone locally or in Mexico.

Hidalgo has absolutely no resume. There are easily several 100,000 people in Harris County that would likely be better at the position she was elected to given their education, professional certifications, and experience.
