Having trouble with the zoned A/C system in 3-story townhome (1 a/c unit). I think 1 or 2 of the dampers are "stuck" or misbehaving.

Try Smart Air. Have used them twice and both times they have quickly and correctly diagnosed my problem. Very fair on price too.

Always had good luck with Air Tech of Houston.

Check with your home warranty. Ours usually sends out MrGoodGuy. They've been good and reasonably priced.

I'm asking around the neighborhood for some recs to replace my system and I'm hearing some pretty bad things about Artic Air. They seem to have been a board darling but I'm staying away. Are there any Aggie owned and operated AC guys?

I've used them twice. Both times came in as the lowest bid and I used them.

First install needed a call back because they didn't vent the furnace correctly and the CO alarm in my house kept going off. Otherwise ok.

Second time was after Harvey and insisted I pay them cash ($5500) because they were burned on their two recent installs (bounced check?). All banks were closed. Would not accept money order. Spent 4 hours in Walmart trying to figure out how to get my parents to wire money. It was a nightmare. They didn't care and threatened to just forget about the job. The workmanship was trash too. I paid $300 extra to put the condenser on a stand so it wouldn't flood again. They bought a bunch of $2 concrete blocks from Home Depot. Not level, looked horrible.

They brought up texags and how they are loved, but I don't get it, other than price.

Pretty sure Enviromax is. Name and number above. Think he posts from time to time.
