Howdy Houston Ags - If you will please indulge me for a moment - I wanted to share something with you something my family has become quite passionate about.
Back in 2010, our then 3 year old daughter Laurel was diagnosed with a rare solid-mass cancerous tumor in her pelvis - we spent the next 54 weeks at Texas Children's in Houston saving her life. Laurel went thru 50 weeks of Chemo, 30 days of radiation and a 10 hour surgery.
She's now a rockin' and rollin' 4th grader in the Cy-Fair area - but coming out of our journey in 2010 we started a non-profit to help raise funds to sponsor research efforts at the hospital. I could go on for hours about how grossly underfunded pediatric cancer research efforts are, but Foundations like ours are necessary to help make up the lack of funding from other sources.
So, all of that said - We are hosting the 3rd Annual Laurel's Army Wine Dinner at The Armadillo Palace in Houston, Tx on June 4th but before we send out formal invitations, we wanted to see if any of you were interested in partnering with us on becoming a formal sponsor for the event.
We are currently looking for 3 more sponsors:
1.) A Presenting Sponsor ($5,000).
2.) Two incremental Table Sponsors ($1,200 each).
If you own a small business or you manage a marketing department at a local company, we would love to partner with you on this event!!
We are hoping to have between 125 and 200 people at the event and a social media, e-mail, digital reach of over 1,000 people. Our featured speaker at the event will be Dr. Wendy Allen-Rhoades, and we are excited to have her share with everyone the progress she is making on the research front. Dr. Allen-Rhoades and her research projects are sponsored by The Laurel's Army Foundation.
If you would like to join our team at this event - we will feature your company and logo on all promotional materials leading up to, and at the event. We will also highlight your business on a soon-to-be-developed "sponsors" page on our website.
A major portion of your gift will be tax deductible as we are a fully certified and IRS recognized 501(C)3 organization.
All of that being said - if you do not think a sponsorship is in the cards at this point in time, we would also ask that you please consider a donation of an item to be used for our silent auction. We will of course provide you with an in-kind donation receipt for any items donated and feature you or your company's logo on our silent auction promotional materials. We have had major success in the past with Gift Cards, Sports Tickets, Bottles of Wine, Gift Baskets, etc.
OK I think that's about it. We are incredibly grateful for your support and consideration in teaming up with us to help this event be successful, as you know we are so passionate about these kids and finding an ultimate cure to pediatric cancers.
The information on available sponsorships is listed in the picture attached to this post.
If you are interested in partnering up with us please e-mail Melissa Batchelder at Melissa@laurelsarmy.com
Thank you again for your consideration.
