2 chairs on front lawn

Driving through rice military area a but lately and notice 2 green chairs in a lot of front lawns. A little googling and all I could come up with maybe a way to signal swingers.

Any idea if there is any meaning to these?

See a lot of that in Tanglewood & Memorial but not necessarily green chairs. Typically there is evidence of young children with things like swings hanging from a tree branch or something. I think it's just evidence of people hanging out watching the kids play in the yard.

Ya these houses all have the same green chairs. Always 2 always right next to each other. Their front yards aren't really playable.

Pretty sure I remember reading an article in the paper a long time ago about it being a tribute to a resident that if I remember correctly was fighting cancer. Liked to take walks around the area, but was getting tired, so people started putting out chairs for him to rest.

3 of my neighbors have a pair of chairs (different colors) in their front yard. I think they just like to sit out there and be neighborly.

That really did happen. Not sure if it is related to the OP as I can't remember the neighborhood, but it definitely happened and was a great story.

I went for a walk last night and noticed every house that had two adirondack chairs in front. Couldn't help thinking about all the debauched activities taking place inside.
