How long do you want to ignore this user?
Hello fellow Houston Uber driver.

Started doing this on the side when things got tough in O&G, luckily I've held on to my real job but this is nice for things like cash for the casinos this weekend in Vegas.

I haven't drove in well over a week now.
It wasn't bad when I started doing it here and there but when I started to be online for more than 30 hours a week I got pretty fed up with

The only Uber driver I ever had with no toll tag got a one star from me. He refused to get on the toll road and it took forever to get home.

Yeah, it can really suck sometimes. And then you have good night here or there that tempt you back.

Then if you do get caught use the Hillary "I had no intention of breaking the law"

Or the even better defense: "some dude named Guitarsoup on texags is my tax advisor".
If you value your anus, it is best not to mention you know me to the IRS.

All of my drivers from home to the airport always have a toll tag, not so much on getting home from the airport.

There are other, subtle differences in drivers as well...

See...Uber is slowly turning into the very service it tried to improve upon. It's like a relationship which is going south. It starts with the small things, and then eventually snow balls into bigger things, until it is horrible.

This is what is happening with Uber as well. This no-toll-tag thing is a favorite shtick of yellow cabs, since their job is to make taking a taxi as inconvenient and uncomfortable as possible. It defies logic, considering their whole job depends on getting from one place to another. One would think they would get it just to make their lives easier. Now it's happening with Uber.

Next thing will likely be Uber drivers not knowing proper directions, or having a clue how to look up the directions. Following that will be.."oh rats..credit card authorization not working..cash only please". Then it will be tips mandatory, not showing up, smelly cars, no English, strange religious figurines or pictures inside, a mess of cables and empty food cartons, and so on.

Soon, it will become yellow cab.

I rode with a guy downtown who was hard of hearing or deaf, made communication slightly hard but he was a good driver and my wife has experience with that situation so it helped a lot.

If I was by myself it woulda been harder to communicate.
I did have a horrible experience with a driver that didn't have a toll tag and then took the longest way around to get to sugar land from hobby ever.

I emailed Uber and told them if my credit card gets charged I'd be filing fraud charges, because that is not the service I paid for. They were very apologetic and refunded the cost of the trip X2, so that was actually pretty nice of them.
