The last thread was a bit dated and I figured with the petroleum club moving to the Total building I'd see what other Ags are members as I'm looking at becoming one.

I'm not but I'm looking into it as well just for the reciprocal access to Westwood and Riverbend. Curious how those relationships work.

I'm curious in general about reciprocal benefits. Does it just mean you can make reservations? Houston has a relationship with the petroleum club in a town where some relatives are members so I can see comic value in being able to make my own reservations and inviting them when I go visit instead of the other way around.

I'm a member. With reciprocal clubs the benefits will vary by club. You just need to alert PCOH prior to visiting another club and they'll set you up.

Is this something anyone (with the money) can join? Or do you have to work for an oil & gas company? Just curious.

I actually called Westwood this morning. Their reciprocation policy with PCOH is ten rounds per year for a guest fee. Not that great. I've heard Riverbend will let you do whatever you want as long as you put down your PCOH member number.

You don't need industry ties. Membership is open to anyone. It requires two sponsors and an initiation fee to join.

What are the initiation fees for a junior membership? I would figure in this environment they're negotiable.

they're tied to WTI. Should have joined in February.

New memberships are growing faster than ever so they aren't going to negotiate anything. This club is not tied to O&G in any way other than name so the status of the industry isn't really a concern to them. Initiation fees have gradually increased since I joined mainly because of the new location and the influx of new members but they are <$3,000 for a junior membership + $150/month and a monthly food and beverage minimum.

Food and food service needs a lot of improvement after my last few visits.

Food is always on point for the wine dinners and events. Chef always pulls it out for those things. I've actually never had anything to eat in the restaurant so couldn't comment on day to day food.
