Kinda last minute on all this...anybody got anyone who offers both services that they like?
(preferably that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?)

Only moving 3 miles, but I need a truck/1 piece of heavy furniture. and bed dis/assembled

We used Dwight's twice in Houston and have had friends use them as well. Good service and cheaper than 3 men and others each time.

I'm sure you can find two or three young guys willing to do it for a non monetary fee if you are looking to save money.

Why don't you ask some of your friends for help, and offer to pay with burgers and beers?

Also this is an excellent example of why you should own a truck. if you can only own 1 car, it should be a truck.

I'd like to pay people to do the work for me and I don't trust my friends with some of my heavier stuff...and I own more than just a truck load of stuff.

I'm not poor, just wondering who has found a good deal.

Rent a Uhaul and on their website you can get 2 movers for a couple of hours.

I've used Ernesto with 2 guys and a truck or whatever it's called a couple of times.

Asking friends to help you move after about the age of 22 is a ****ty thing to do. Newsflash: No one wants to help you. They might do it because they're a good friend, but they certainly don't want to.

There is not a single poster on the GB that I want to know my home address.

I used Three Men Movers. They moved everything and set it up at the new house in under three hours. Paid under $500.

I think so, but I don't know.

So I used the Dwight's moving. The dudes they sent were awesome and efficient.

Some major mix ups in the front office that caused me quite a bit of headache and labor, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that I'm the outlier based on how hard they worked to correct it.

I had Joe Ramirez from three men movers. Really good and professional. I used them three times and had friends use them as well. Joe and his crew are the best.

Used these guys moving from our one bedroom apt into our home when we bought last August. They were good and very efficient.

They packed you? Can I ask what you paid? I'm moving my fianc and myself at the end of the month. We have two apts combining to one. Just curious because I think my fianc is going to need packing help.

Actually, they didn't end up packing me.

There was confusion with the front office. She had tried to book me the week before, but it was super last minute. So I asked for the next Saturday morning....which she basically forgot to put me in the computer for, even though she wrote down the info. When I called asking that morning, she absolutely panicked and did everything she could to get someone out there...but either forgot/or didn't have packers available.
