I would also add that pecan grove has a demographic of probably 90% white while other sugar land neighborhoods have a much great asian/indian percentage.

Not sure if that matters to you but the difference is noticeable.

Greatwood is pretty white. At least it was when I lived their in high school in the mid 90s.

I live in Pecan Grove. Don't really have much to add...quiet neighborhood, very white compared to neighboring, newer subdivisions. Relatively low property taxes. I work 10 minutes away but the wife commutes to the Medical Center, takes her 40-45 minutes.

My highly racist friends nearly had a melt down when I told them I saw a black family moving in across the street from their house in cross creek ranch. They were already pissed about an Indian family moving in next door. I told them I'd pay a premium to have curry smell near my house.

I understand not wanting to live next door to a Mezcan family in an old neighborhood, because they might cram 20 people into a single family house and have loud all night/all day parties any day of the week.

But that far out in the suburbs, everyone is trying to get away from it.

What's the harm in living next door to an overly-polite dot Indian engineer?

The worst complaint I hear about the schools in Sugar Land is that the kids are too competitive. I would prefer that to the opposite.

With the Indians, it is actually that they'll buy every house that comes up for sale on a single street. And then their extended family moves in.

Go ahead and cross Westpark Tollway off your list of considerations, if it was there at all. It is horrible. On the occasions I've had to go downtown in the AM, using 59 is right at 90 mins. Galleria maybe an hour. Hwy 90 to NRG park/Med Center is only about 35-45. There is no crime here to speak of. Might considering trading up for a Raptor though, some of the Cinco/new Fulshear d-bagness is starting to migrate southward...

Harry, I know you live in my hood but I don't have any Mexicans in my house and I had the cops called a few times for my house warming so don't sell us crackers short.
