A million dollar home is still a huge amount of money.
Maybe if you graduated in the past 5 years.

"What about Cross Creek Ranch? I've heard good things."
I think it's a little too far out.

There are some great new construction neighborhoods popping up on the North side of I10. Look along Upland Drive and Wycliffe Dr. Many nice new homes in gates communities in the $400k-$500k range.
quote:"Wetlands" and "lakefront" property in Ft. Bend County is shorthand for housing on a detention pond (bonus if a little fountain is installed!) Developers/MUDs have to dig them or these places are uninhabitable - and once they do they can offer half the neighborhood a "lake"-front house.
I've got comments on Cross Creek Ranch but they're mostly negative. I do like their wetlands area though. I'm wondering if they were required to do that for some reason...

Has someone mentioned Gaywood? Make sure you consider Gaywood.

Roughly 50% of the low-income kids that go to Nottingham Elementary have been done away with in the last 12 months with the recent demo of three apartment complexes (including the largest).
Those complexes are being replaced with higher end apartments that are targeting young professionals in the energy cooridor. They will price out the low income folks that lived in the old apartments.

Anyone have a clue as to the rents they'll be charging for that massive apartment complex going up on the SW corner of Wilcrest & I-10?
