I live in College Station and will be coming to the rodeo tomorrow....my question is-do the parking lots get filled to capacity? If i park in them-is it a very long walk? Is it a safe walk?

I would probably park in one of the shuttle lots that take you from the parking lot to the gate entrance. Only thing is the line leaving to get on the bus after the concert can be a long wait. The traffic around the rodeo can be a pain.

Check the rodeo website for times when the lots open and shuttle times.

I don't expect it to be too crowded but also depends what time you arrive.

Used the OST lot last night. Was very easy, but the wait for the bus was 45 minutes or so. Got back to Clear Lake at midnight. I think we will be leaving the shows earlier from now on, but it was a better experience than yellow lot by far.

I often park at the Braeswood park and ride and ride the bus on in. The line at the end can suck though so be prepared. It sure as heck beats driving around for 1.5-2 hours looking for parking for the cook off though like we did on Saturday night.

^^That's where we usually park, Braeswood. And 610.

I park on Fannin across the street from Reliant and the Metro Rail drop station. $20, but I was in and out and not waiting on other people. Totally worth it in my opinion.

There is a shortcut for getting back to OST 1 if you are willing to walk a little bit.

You can catch a transportation committee golf cart at either end of Reliant center and tell them you need to get dropped off at Breeders Greeters. They will take you around the back of Reliant Center and drop you off at N. Stadium Dr. From there it's a straight shot out the gate to the parking lot.

Southpaw, do you or anyone else know, can you just walk in that gate at North Stadium drive and walk into the Livestock show? Or do you need a ticket?

Just wondering, I have been working in our office building at N. Stadium drive and OST and thought about walking over to see the livestock/vendors.

You need a ticket, but it is only like $10

Parking was a mess last night as we got over there around 830. Drove down Kirby and Fannin, but didn't see much appealing in terms of cash lots. Last year we parked just east of Fannin in a dirt lot for 20 bucks, that was well worth it to help us get out faster. Ended up using the OST bus last night and like the previous poster said, it took at least 45 min each way from the time you parked till you got to Reliant and then returning from Reliant to the lot.

Yeah, your time of arrival plays a big part in your options. I always arrive before 5:30p.

Last year I parked in the lot where Astroworld used to be...not sure if that's still available this year or not. Was a bit of a walk but plenty of parking available.

Is there a decent place to park for a handicapped lot?

I parked at the Toys'r'Us lot at OST & Kirby for $10 last night. ~10min walk to Reliant.
