I live in this neighborhood and have already contacted both the mayor and our council representative. Both say that "nothing can be done" because the business is not listed as sexually-oriented. The nature of this business makes it distinctly more dangerous than the other nearby establishments that serve alcohol. Twin Peaks strategically entices its customers to stay longer and drink more. The methods they use to do so are a direct threat to the safety of the children attending the three schools that surround this location. One method is happy "hour" from 2-6, when this area is teeming with small children. Another is an environment filled with live women being used as soft porn, a sexually charged atmosphere attractive to sexual predators. The combination of alcohol, soft porn and the mindset of those attracted to this combination will increase criminal activity and endanger the hundreds of children who are required by law to attend school next door to this building.

I am concerned about the very real possibility that sexual predators will be able to sit in the parking lot and watch the kids play across the street and after a few drinks kidnap one as they ride their bike or walk home. This place will be heaven for pedophiles.

If these parents provide proper supervision for their offspring, the kids will never see the inside of that place. So it seems like their complaints are either invalid or personal problems.

Typical Dallas dick envy. There is no way I'd give two sh ts about a restaurant in Dallas.

There are three schools right behind this location. I think the concern about afternoon happy hours, and driving through the neighborhood to cut through to Memorial or south to Westheimer is a somewhat valid point. If the claim is this is about it being a bar atmosphere....ok....the claims that have anything to do with the girls outfits are kinda far fetched, unless they are holding bikini car washes at 3pm when school gets out.

Im trying to figure out where these ladies would draw the line. Shakespear's Pub get the same response? I think so. SRO sportsbar? Maybe. BW3? really doubt it.

Which makes me think its more about the outfits than anything else.

I understand some of the concerns about drunks cutting thru the neighborhood. We had drunk dads in the neighborhood who would pick us up after Wilchester Wildcat football games...and there were no questions if said drunk dad had a lit cigarette IN THE CAR. At least Twin Peaks makes you smoke outside. I am still trying to find out the concern...

I live walking distance to the place. I can't wait for it to open. These prudes are absolutely ridiculous. I understand the alcohol debate but these same people don't have any problems with the ten other places close by that serve alcohol.

When I saw the thread title, I assumed this was a petition to convince Twin Peaks to move in, like the zoo tried to do with Waffle House in College Station.

I think its hilarious how much people get their panties in a wad over places like this. I guess they prefer those classy mini skirts and fishnets at Del Friscos. If you get a table on the second level, you have a 90% chance of seeing the hostess's vag as she walks up the stairs.
