Is there a better fajita than the fillet at el tiempo?

Just wondering if the Margs make it, or if this is the best fajita in Houston.

So I guess it is hip to pay $18 for a 4oz filet with fixins and call it a fajita?

Why does jetch even compare that to Lupe? They don't serve anything nearly that gay.

El Tiempo is one of my faves in Houston and definitely better than Lupe, but am I in the minority re: filet meat just not being right with fajita fixings?

Haven't had the filet fajitas but it kinda sounds like hanging a chandelier in a haunted house. I mean why?

The sandbox at the original was basically one big ol litter box for the feral cats in the area.

I'll still take dine a 3 pepper steak or a #29 if the mood grabs my nuts right

Born in Houston, eaten fajitas at both places more times than I can count. Both are good but lupes has a slight edge.

Get my fajitas from Starks Meat Market and cook them myself! The tenderized marinated fajitas are better than anything that can be bought in any restaurant!

Going to get hated on for this, but I still like Pappasitos better than Tiempo or Lupe. I've had all 3 many many times (from multiple locations of all 3 places) and still find it hard to beat Pappas.

I've had some Pappas fajitas on off nights and would drop them down in rank, but at their best, they beat the rest.

I hate threads like this. Why? One man's trash is another man's treausre. If the guy next door like Lupe Tortilla's beef fajitas, then so be it. Someone else not liking them isn't going to change his mind. One person says Lupe's is the best. The next guy jumps in and says they suck. Well guess what? It's quite possible for them to be completely fantastic and totally crappy at the same time.

About 6 years ago saw a 5 year old unleash a pile of crap down his leg and onto the deck at the Lupe on 59. Left and have never been back.
