FYI, if you're looking for an apartment ITL, stay away. Too much theft, the staff nit-picks about every little thing and the property manager can only be described as heinous. Avoid at all costs.

I live at the Camden Plaza nearby and have zero complaints. Prices are high but the management is great and take good care of the residents.

I guess much has changed since I once lived there.*

I've lived at Camden for 2 years now. I'll agree they have jacked prices up alot, around $300 in two years. The apartments off of buffalo speedway side get broken into alot more because they have easy access to 59. Other than highish prices and making sure you live off Eastside Street instead of 59, it's not that bad...

I had no problems living there for 3 years awhile back, but the Eastside St. side was better for traffic.

The only thing I can really complain about is I saw a few multigenerational Indian families there. Way too many people crammed into a two BR unit.

And if the rent didn't increase, the scummy folks would be all over that place in a heartbeat.

EDIT: one more thing that was irritating. At move out, they charge an automatic fee for cleaning regardless of how spotless you leave the place. I had a cleaning woman ready to make that place shine, but the mgmt. told her they would charge me anyway. At least the cleaning woman was nice enough to be honest.

Camden Heights is worse. Without a doubt. We're having a "community meeting" on May 23rd at 6:00 p.m. to discuss all of the recent car/apartment break-ins we have been having apparently since before I moved in SEPTEMBER 2012 and, you know, the "steps" they're finally "taking in order to ensure safety." And yes, I am implying none of those things exist because management has been completely full of bullsh*t the entirety of my stay. I will happily live on Ramen for the next 7 months to ensure we pay off our loans even sooner than expected so we can get a mortgage and GTFO of Camden Heights.

The Greenway manager is an incompetent old *****. After seeing the way she runs the place, and hearing other Camden horror stories, it surprises me that the company is routinely a Top 100 place to work. Sure seems like I beating.

I lived at those apartments in 06 and didn't have issues but it was overpriced like everything else.

I lived at alexan (then Camden) heights from 06-09 and I didn't mind it but my gf (now wife) hated it with a passion. We did lose water every day for an hour or so for the month after Ike and they kept making excuses until channel 13 reported on it and it was fixed that day. Also, fat sooner-wearing neighbor would complain about the noisy s3x going on. Loser. Also they facked us on our deposit saying a small stain made it necessary to replace the shltty stretched out 4 year old carpet. Screw them!

How come I never hear anyone *****ing about how crappy of a tenant they are?

Been 6 years since I've lived in an apartment and I don't miss it. They suck. Generally, though, I don't understand why some have a hard time reconciling break-ins and stuff at them and place the blame with management vs. reality.

People go to these new places and see the granite counter tops, stainless appliances, and arched doorways and forget that in reality they live in cheap housing generally on major streets. That combination almost always is a recipe for break-ins, etc.

Lived there from 2005 to 2008. Loved it. Theft in general is outta control though.

cars up on blocks in the garage ever other week. had some 60 year old alcoholic "Vietnam vet" on "disability" (seemed fine other than alcohol) living next to me puking every night. Called 911 for him on two separate occasions.

2002-2004 (translation: a really long time ago). I liked it. Never had a problem but I did park in the Eastside garage, so that may be why. But I don't remember hearing about any problems either. I had a friend who lived across 59 at the The Villages at West University on Edloe and there were break-ins and cars on blocks constantly. This is with 24 hour guard service at the only entrance into the place.

I don't want to toot my own horn... ok, I want to toot my own horn. We're fan-****ing-tastic tenants. And deserve the same kind of service.

But seriously, we don't need/ask for much. I could give a crap about all of the unexciting amenities they provide. It's a nice facility with nice, decent priced units. The only other thing we need is safety. But I guess I'm just a princess for such a request.

Greenway 2001-2003 Loved it but I previously lived in Westchase where one of my neighbors robbed another neighbor at gunpoint while he was leaving for work at 7 am.

we had a friend who lived at the Camden Greenway a few years ago. Judging from the methheads that hung out in the pool, I wouldn't be surprised if it was other residents robbing the place.

I lived there 13 months and got robbed on. When I told management, I laughed out loud when they just sighed and said "do we need to replace the lock?" Got me all new MacBook, Swrski binos, King Ranch briefcase, and gold clubs.

I did LOVE the Melvin and Diamond though...

4/10 would not rent again

They finally got rid of/fired the grade A bit€h that used to manage the place. She was horrible.
