They open the entire MLB on a Sunday night vs. the rangers. That game will likely sell out, esp. since many rangers fans are planning on making the trip south. I've taken my boy to opening day every year of his life and I don't want to miss this one b/c the tee-shirt rangers fans come down here and fill our stadium.

I highly doubt that any Rangers fan willing to drive 4 hours to go to a game just because it is opening day is a "t-shirt fan".

I'm confused by the term T-shirt fans for professional sports. Did you earn a degree from the Houston Astros or at least do some graduate work there?

I'm assuming he's referring to "real" fans that have been through the thick and the thing with their team versus the Johnny-come-latelys whenever the team starts winning.

Based on that, if the Astros ever do turn it around, I think that there are only about 7 people in Houston that will be able to avoid the "tshirt" label based on their attendance and ratings the last couple of years.

I have a Doctorate in Pain and Suffering, a Masters in First Round Playoff Exits an undergrad in Two Out 9th Inning NLCS Blown Saves and a Minor in 4 Straight One Run World Series Game Losses. But I have prefect attendance, which is probably more of a bad thing than a good thing.
