No HPD officer will tell a non-HPD officer how to file a complaint that will be effective. They cover for each other. If it is worth your time to complain, it is worth your time to hire an attorney and go after that scumbadge.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you're one or the other but not both.

It IS their mission to serve the public. They can do that best by making sure some ******* isnt soaking up their resources with frivelous complaints when they get their feelings hurt. Of course they cover for one another. As well they should. You can thank Quanell for that sort of thing. For every one legit complaint, I bet there is a hundred others.

If you are filing a complaint because he was rude to you, I highly suggest you never go to an EZ Tag store, the DMV, any US Post Office or pretty much any Asian owned business.

Seriously, Grow a pair.

An IA complaint is kind of extreme. Unless the officer really violated your rights or said he'd rather see your tits than the damage to your vehicle, talking to your insurance adjuster is a better use of everyone's time.

Of course, you could always call 311 and ask for the Sternly Worded Letter Department.

Not true. If you find or know a good cop, they want the bad cops off the street more than we do.

OP was in a pretty bad non-injury accident.

Per the OP, the officer that showed up on the scene to take the incident report was rude, biased, unprofessional, and just plain incompetent.

OP was looking for advice from current, former, or family of HPD on the proper procedures to file a complaint against the officer, possibly involving IA.

Mocking ensued.

I'm curious to know who your big gun lawyer is in case I encounter any similar acts of unkindness that I'd like to prosecute.
