Just bought in Alden Bridge the end of last year. Now the Kuykendahl runs to 1488, you can take that to 45 (takes me less than 10 minutes).

I would recommend that you drive by the neighborhoods at different times to see what kind of homeowners/ visitors you might live by. Also check on the new construction on 45, drivers might be cutting down Research to bypass 242.
Also do you need to consider schools? Some schools have great parent support, some have no parent support and of course there are the ones where the parents just write a check.

You may want to consider the Greenspoint area. It's safer.

Yeah Sawmill was 5 feet under, it was crazy. However, as I stated: Don't buy anything near Grogans unless it's north of Pkwy (East Shore). All that stuff is too too old.

Parts of The Woodlands have definitely had flood events. The 94 flood was pretty epic. I think certain areas flooded in 2001 (Allison?). Maybe not flood prone, but definitely need to check the flood maps like anywhere else.

The Woods will be hit with a 70% property tax increase in 2014 so be careful. I'd stay out of south county and move to the county seat!

During allison, spring creek basin got like 25" of rain in 72 hours. Anyplace will flood with that kind of rain.

Smith&Co - I've seen the same numbers (I've actually seen higher than that)... It's terrifying, but I find it really hard to believe that would actually come to fruition. At least, that's what I keep telling myself...

I can't imagine the residents would ever vote to allow that kind of increase.

It will definitely shake The Woods but that's what happens when you finally demand to become a township. When or if those numbers apply it will make everyone in The Woods wish they would've left it alone and just stayed south county. Some of the properties already have outrageous taxes, I can only imagine how much they'll be with an additional 70-85% increase. Very scary!

The 80% increase is only on the Woodlands portion which is probably only about a tenth of the total property tax, not an 80% increase on the total bill.

at first i was thinking 4.55 total wouldn't be fun.. but it sounds like it would jump to ~2.9 depending on whether mud changes too.

just moved into Creekside 2 weeks ago. I use U-verse for intertron and tv.

There must be some discount special going on pools in my section because everyone seems to be getting one. Not sure what that's about

We have Uverse in Oak Ridge North. Looked at Dish, but we had too many trees in the way. Several of my friends in TW have Uverse. Before Uverse we had Charter communications.

If you are on the north side of Wellman, I believe your options are limited to 1 provider other than satellite. I believe that provider is Consolidated.
