Cheesiest name for a restaurant ever.

But the food is damn good. Talked for a while with the owner, and they use all-natural and fresh ingredients, even have fresh-made lemonade that is awesome. Queso is top-notch. Fajita beef falls just short of Lupe's IMO, but it is tender and damn good.

Onions IN the cheese enchiladas was my only complaint.

Too bad no restaurant ever lasts more than a few months in that spot. Cursed.

El Jarrito habanero chicken/steak is like crack. I haven't worked in the Katy area in a few years, but that was like crack when I was out that way. Would be hard to try something different whenever I get back out there.

Yep, El Jarrito is our go-to place, too. Their fajitas are essentially the same as Lupe's. This place doesn't beat El Jarrito, but is a good alternative.

It is on Grand Parkway in the shopping center with Times Square bowling. It has been a Cuban restaurant, Allie's steakhouse, another mexican joint, and a few other things just in the past 4 years. Seem to be a cursed location, as none of those other places were bad either.

I tend to like Las Mananitas on Mason Road. Cheap-ish and pretty tasty IMO.

I like Galileo's in Brookshire. El Jarrito is pretty tasty though.

Carmens just opened in Brookshire. I think the new Victors in Fulshear is better than both though.
