My wife asked me what I wanted to do for Father's Day. I told her I wanted to sleep in.

I woke up at 9:30.

I agree with MB Light. Folks with kids always amaze me with their " world revolves around kids" attitudes. As one who has never had kids I could fill Al Gores Internet with stories from work to Kyle Field , to neighborhood toys under the car to travel about the experiences but it's so universal now and so accepted it would just generate nothing but " it's all MY problem" type responses. Plus I've gotten used to it and now just laugh it off.

OP i would be annoyed by it, sure, but beyond asking them to come later i don't know what else you can do.

i try to be courteous when i mow about when i start, i'll wait until at least 9am. but at the same time those guys have a crappy job, and it's hot as sht in the summer. i don't blame them for starting as early as they can.

get you one of these shirts and wear it to get the paper when they're there. Your neighbor will be mowing his own grass in a month.

Buy a mower, tell your neighbor to buy a mower. Realize that sun is good for you and the heat won't kill you. Then you can both take care of the lawn when it isn't inconvenient. Office people kill me...what does it take, a whole hour to mow?

paying people to mow your yard is pure lazy...you could use that money for better purposes, like cold beer to enjoy after you mow the yard

This could really get good now.

btw...I do my own yard as well, because I do a better job than the "pros"

If it costs $30 for someone to mow your yard and your time value is >$30/hr than it makes sense to not mow your yard.

Success = being able to pay others to do boring crap you hate doing.

I actually don't mind mowing the lawn. I sit on my butt so much at work so its nice to get outside and do some real work.

I'd rather do "real work" on the golf course.

Then I'm a huge ***** by god! Nothing I hate more than mowing the lawn. I have a Mexican that just stops by and mows whenever my grass needs it and just sends me an invoice. It's Glorious!

What about the parents who think their kid is unique and that everything their kid does is the first time a kid has ever done it in the history of humanity and they have to mention every single stupid thing any time they have a chance? Those parents are annoying too.

We're early birds here. I get up at 4 and my husband always wants to mow early (too hot), but we were both brought up knowing that's not polite. We never start before 8 a.m. I'd be irritated too, but do agree with the mexican is just trying to make a living, and I'd just deal with it. I'm a complainer too, but I don't think it's too terrible ...just a little rude.

Our HOA is big on ATV's and because there IS a rule on that... I would get upset and do when our neighbor rides it over all the empty lots real late at night. I've gone to the idiot twice now, and he just rolls his eyes. Those are the kind of people that I feel have something coming to them.

If by SP you mean S&P, then yes. The *******s laid me off.

Quit looking at every aspect of your life like you're consultant or lawyer that every hour of your life is something that could be billed to someone.

Get the white noise thingie. Seriously, you need to teach the kid to sleep through noise or you'll be sorry. Our oldest slept in my parent's front hallway for 6 months (we were building a house and living in one room in my folk's house). That kid can now sleep through anything.

Yeah, that's what I meant. We visited your offices last year and sat down with the P in S&P to go over the stuff you all had in your bim room. Pretty impressive. Sorry to hear about the layoff. Definitely slow all over.

Personally I'd rather not have a gang of Mexicans roaming around in my neighborhood and everyone get off their lazy ass.

The pads I get a chuckle from the time is money folks too. Sunday morning...I'm a salary and bonus kinda guy. Who is going to pay me to do work? Who can I bill this to?

Plus I get a little sun.
