My husband scooped out all the water (twice since we had to turn the water back on to fill the tubs for toilet flushing tonight and in the morning) and he's going to lightly wrap around the pipes just to protect them from the cold...it's only supposed to get to 34 according to the weather report, but it gets a little colder here than they say most of the time. He's already got everything cut and ready to switch it out, so he's going to do it first thing in the morning.

Thank you guys so much for all the help!

When you turn the valve for the sprinkler system back on do it slowly. Crack it open until you feel the water flowing and then let the lines fill with water before turning the valve all the way. It doesn't take much pressure to blow out an elbow of a 1" line

Thanks, I'll tell my husband that...the main line at the street is open but I don't think he's opened the sprinkler valve back up yet.
