People need to stop spreading lies. Whataburger does not freeze any of their beef!

Also, Fuddrucker's somehow has a bad reputation but I've only had delicious burgers there.

I didn't think the burger at Lankford's was that great.

But Wednesday is enchilada day, and it's the bomb.

Tornado burger is on Murphy Rd. just south of 90. I don't remember if that building was the Long Johns, but it's in front of the old building that used to be Academy waaaay back in the day. Tornado burger is effin legit! I've eaten at Burger Tex many times and it's good, but doesn't belong on this list. I really like the free ladel cheese they have so I can make cheezy fries. Hell, I'm headed there right now!

Would love a Hub Cap burger right now.

5 Guys isn't as good in the franchised locations as the original I had up in the DC area. But it's still damn good. When I first experienced 5 Guys up in NoVA it was special. Now that they've franchised, not so much.

Smashburger is pretty good too. But nothing really special.

Southwells is overpriced Whataburger.

You guys need to try Rockwell's in Cypress off of Telge. Amazing!!!

Y'all sold me on the Tornado Burger, so I went today. Got the double spicy, and it was great. It sort of reminded me of eating a burger and jalapeno sausage at the same time. Everything on it was good, too. Oh, if you go, skip the single-patty burger — the bun will dwarf it.

I'm not sure it's in my Top 5, but it def. gets honorable mention. I'll go back.

Ha. I was talking to the owner the other day about that. He said there's one guy that has come in a few times and ordered 6 patties! Good god. They are not big patties by any mean, but thats WAY too much. I've ordered a triple a few times, but a double is perfect.

Their Gyro sandwhiches are very good as well. Not your typical gyro, cause they put it on a hoagie roll, but the meat is good and their toppings, including the sauce is awesome.

Man can't believe no one said Pappa's Burger. Best burger in town imo.

Pappa's Burger is good, but spending around $15 + tip on a burger/fries/drink is crazy.

I prefer Goode Taqueria. You will pay around $10 for a burger/fries/drink and don't have to deal with a waitstaff and you can "build" the burger the way you want it. BTW, their onion rings are amazing. If they could only do something with that horrible parking lot.

Everyone on here needs to try The Burger Guys. They are at Westheimer and Wilcrest. The owners are top notch chefs, and truly know how to make an awesome burger. They make everything in house, including the buns, ketchup, etc. Their Soda machine is soda from Dublin, so its all pure cane sugar. The meat comes from a strain of Kobe beef, that's raised here in Texas.

As of now, its the best kept secret in Houston. as far as burgers go.

Went to HubCap for the first time a couple weeks ago. VERY SOLID. I put it on par with Lankford's and Christian's.

I've spoken to a few employees about that guy as well. Hes a fireman for Stafford, I think.

And yes, even 3 patties is too much. Double meat, double cheese, grilled onions is my usual now.

The BEST burger in Houston, and please ignore the name of the establishment, is at the Longhorn Cafe in the Park Shops downtown. It's called the JR Burger - the patty itself contains jalepeno and serrano peppers, as well as bacon. It is totally awesome every time that I have it.

Second best would be Beck's Prime, though I haven't been to a bunch of the places y'all are mentioning.

Five Guys was not that exciting when I had it. Smashburger was okay. Whataburger is always good.

I live very close to the Langford Grocery, only been twice. The first time it sucked, the second time it was quite good. I need to go again.

Millers Cafe is my fav. Haven't been to some of the places you guys mention but that will change. Perrys and Cullens both make awesome Kobe burgers but a little pricey.

Carl's Junior is also building a location in Missouri City in front of the new Lowe's.

Never had it.

1. Christian's... both places are the same ****.
2. Miller's
3. Bubba's
4. Southwell's
5. Tookie's (I know it's closed now, but if still open, I'd put it in the top spot.)
