Whats wrong with Blancos? Why is it lame?

B/c it's the same every time and there are way too many CRITTERS running around....I think change is good...... Jackson's Bar is pretty BA option, or Armadillos, etc

I reserved a babysitter for the last weekend in Feb.

I'll have to check out that Jacksons. I love Blancos but I agree that we may go there too much. Once we start team happy hours there will be some variation.

I spent a year on the Houston General Go Texan committee... good thing about that committee is you earn your badge before rodeo starts, so you can just go to the rodeo and you don't have to work them

I'm on Premium Seating committee now... but I don't know if we have any more openings...

I'm transportation team 10, and we got an email yesterday saying we still need folks...

Beer sales is pretty fun.

I prefer not having to work during the actual rodeo.

Got an e-mail about interviews for the transportation committee...can anyone provide some insight to what the interview is like? Thanks for any assistance.

If it's anything like Rodeo Express, they'll need to know how much beer you drink and if you prefer bbq chicken or brisket. Proper planning of meals for each shift is very important.

Transpo interviews are basically so u can fill out paperwork and they can see ur not retarded

a girlfriend and I were looking at one of the wine committees. any insight for these? or I guess I could always drag her to the GK HH on the 19th

I've got a couple friends on one of the wine committees, I'll get some info for you. I might be wrong, but I think they aren't easy to get on.

Imagine how much wine the boobs could sell. It may be easier for her!

I really just want to get onto a committee and meet people and have fun, doesn't really matter what I'm doing as long as it doesn't involve directing traffic or parking.

Im a Recruiting coordinator for the Speakers Committee. We are full for this year but will be accepting new members in the spring following the close of the 2011 show. Its a great committee to be on since you badge before the show starts and you are not required to work during the show. I will post a thread next spring when we are accepting new members.

I'm on Directions and Assistance and love it - it's one of the committees with a lot of public interaction. We work the information booths on the ground, and work sections inside Reliant. I always say it's our job to take care of everything "lost" - lost children, lost patrons, and lost articles. We're having a rookie recruiting event November 10th at Reliant.

I am a captain on the Rodeo Express Equipment and Maintenance team. We are generally looking for people at the beginning of the year who want to come out and have a good time but show up for shifts and aren't afraid of doing a little work. We always have a lot of fun no matter what we are doing. We generally work out by the Light Rail and close to the buses helping out where we can, but we are not bus bunnies. It is usually really easy stuff, but we generally work from 4:30 til whenever the crowd dies down. We usually work 4 rodeo shifts and then there is a setup and tear down day that usually lasts for a couple of hours. Bunbury, 04texag, and WH08PsyJayci, let me know if you are interested and I will keep your information in case we need some people as we always have some that don't return.

have not joined HLSR yet, but will be the week's end. and thanks for the advice and information! I have a friend that's a committeeman for Horsepitality so he's given me a little bit of direction as far as what's what, but I think we'll try and make some meetings/HH's here pretty soon.
