I was going to say steak & seafood, but I dont think that cuts the list down too much
Try out Oceanaire Seafood in the Galleria. Went there last week and it was pretty good.
III Forks, Vic & Anthony;s, Del Friscos, and Pappas Bros are solid for Steak. Trulucks and Pesce have good seafood.
IMO use Restaurant Week to try a place you haven't tried before for a much lower price than normal

Go with Pappas Bros Steakhouse.
By far my favorite restaurant in Houston, still need to try out III Forks and Ruth's Chris.

I went to Fleming's on Monday and it was really good. Some of the other places skimp on the portions because it's restaurant week, but they had big portions.
and with those options for Pappa's, get the NY Strip med rare and if you can score a side of au gratin potatoes...do it.

Extension link. Some restaurants not extending. I figured Mark's wouldn't extend. They must've gotten blown up with people eating for half price.

We went to Pappa's last night and you won't leave hungry.
The steak does come with a small portion of mash potatoes and green beans...which they won't sub out for. Plenty of food though.
Well, it's worth the additional ~$9 to get them...
