That ride was down more than any other in the park. If they made it 30 minutes after opening it was a miracle. I hated them because when they closed, we were the closest ride and our line went nuts which made d-bag factor increase by ten.

You're right about the Greezed Lightning but Six Flags moved the looping starship to Arlington.
Wikipedia (I know, that's one of the most unreliable references ever, but the AstroWorld page is pretty detailed) says that the Looping Starship was relocated to Mammoth Lake in Clute.

The Looping Starship IS in Arlington. I've ridden it. It is called the Acme Rock-N-Rocket. The Wagon Wheel is in Arlington too.

We spent many great days at that park. It was sad how bad it had become. I loved riding the Texas Cyclone but as mentioned before I was always afraid of it falling apart. I even paid to ride the barnstormer, that was one of the scariest things sitting at the top of the arch waiting to pull the rip cord.

It's certainly possible. The Six Flags Over Texas wiki page says that the ACME Rock-N-Rocket was brought in from Six Flags Over Georgia in 2006. The Six Flags Over Georgia page says that their Looping Starship ride was removed the year before. Makes sense to me.

Then again, there is another page that says the parts from the AstroWorld ride were used for the Arlington ride. So who knows...

There is also a Greezed Lightnin at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. It says it goes 0-57mph in six seconds. Does that seem a little slow to anyone else? I think it's paused at the end of the track by the time you hit six seconds.

the mini loaves of bread sold at the shop right at the entrance/exit....rainbo ??

You are an evil person deadhead for bring up this memory ... gosh I loved those little loaves of bread! Even just the aroma of freshly baked bread. Yeah, they were Rainbo loaves.

I really find myself missing that place some times but the last time I went, around 2004 or so, it was pretty much a dump.
