Does this wretched island have free wifi anywhere?

Are the people stuck on Galvetraz with no hope of the perks of the 21st century?

starbucks? other coffee shop? hotel? library?
I haven't been down to Galveston since Ike, so I don't know what all is (isn't) there...

I used to park in front of the Holiday Inn and use my laptop in my car. It's right next to the San Luis. You can also go to TAMUG on Pelican Island. I think the Spot has free wifi too, but if their wifi service is anything like their bar service, don't waste your time.
