Thanks.

Hmm, there really aren't a lot of choices right there.

Hooter's, Red Lobster, Texas Roadhouse, Outback and Chilis.

Further down at Airtex there is a Lupe Tortilla, Zio's and Saltgrass. And a Pappasitos on the other side of the freeway.

Not far past that to the north is Old Town Spring. Some nice little hole in the wall places there.

Also, if you want something that isn't a chain place and has a little more "atmosphere", (as in good food, no pretentiousness), try the Potato Patch east of 45 a couple miles on 1960. Good home cooking type food.

Website says this location is a Cafe Pappadeaux
http://www.pappadeaux.com/location/?id=46

What does that mean?

Spicy, it looks exactly like Bennigan's inside, but black instead of green.

The food was good, nothing great.

No love for JCI? (or did it move?)

Spicy - Kilgore's is okay. They make a pretty good burger.

I think it's just named Cafe Pappadeaux. It's got the same menu as the others.

And JCI is still there.

You will seal the deal if you go to JCI.

We really struggle with the restaurant selection in the area. Cilantros Mexican restaurant is actually good. I swore I'd never go in there, but my husband and I decided to give it a shot one time. They have an amazing shrimp/poblano entree.

I drive by that place all the time and it looks like a dump. I don't eat shrimp. How was everything else?

you can always drive up to Louetta and hit Cheddars

but don't stop at that Kohls. My parents' truck got stolen out of their parking lot last week.

"Baked Poblano" YUMMMMMY

My friend got the lunch fajitas and was very impressed.

Husband and I like the cheap margaritas just fine too.

Cheddars is good but geez, you'd think they were handing out money the way it's always so packed.

Yeah, it is ALWAYS packed. The food is good and I would eat there is the wait wasn't out the door.

Might have to give Cilantro Cocina a try. I do like margaritas and it is super close.

Just north of FM 1960 near Old Town Spring is El Palenque at I-45 and Spring Cypress or Gugliani's Italian Grill on Spring Cypress, about 1 block east of 1-45 on the left. Both are about 5 minutes north of 1960.

Wolfies at 1960 and Steubner is pretty much the classiest place around there for a nice client lunch.

cafe means it is smaller than the others, also for a good hole in the wall mexican food place, El Imperial, about a mile or so west of 45
