Went to high school in Katy and venture out there often, so this intrigues me.

Go to Swampy's all the time. Great food - usually have a band on the patio. The best are the Hurricanes with an extra shot in them.

There were six of us (seven if you count a sip). We had a great time. I don't know where else you can go and have several dozen fresh oysters on the half shell, several dozen longnecks, fried pickles and gumbo and each get out with a $15 tab.

Good times. Will have to do it again.

AgCPA - Swampy's is having a 2nd anniversary party tonight with a live band (Zydeco Dots), $1.25 longnecks all night, and free chicken fingers for the kids (I believe with the purchase of an adult entree.) Thought you might be interested if the kiddos need some entertainment.

highway - Stars is definitely an option. They have half price (or at least cheap) pitchers during Astros games. With the big screen in the bar area, this may be a good place for Katy Ags to catch a game when the season gets here.

speaking of katy, anyone know of any good sports bars that will be showing the fight this weekend? I haven't checked with any yet.

The aforementioned Stars is a good spot to watch the fights. Was there for the Silva/Cote fight (admittedly a pretty anticlimactic main event).
